The Prince Albert Community Trust is delighted to announce that CEO Sajid Gulzar OBE has been appointed by The University of Birmingham School of Education as an Honorary Fellow at the Education Leadership Academy (ELA). This is in recognition of his outstanding contribution as a school and MAT leader in Birmingham.
The ELA educate, train and develop people with the knowledge, skills and capacities to provide leadership in the education sector. This includes the delivery of post-graduate masters programmes, researching educational leadership and building global leadership networks to develop and share best practise.
ELA Honorary Fellows are expert practitioners who are actively involved in the delivery of the leadership education, training and development programming ensuring that reflection-on-practice remains at the centre of their work. They provide practitioner perspectives that help shape and test the ELA research programmes.
On the appointment, UoB Professor of Educational Leadership Colin Diamond CBE said “Sajid has been teaching on the masters programme in education leadership since 2019 and wrote a chapter in The Birmingham Book Lessons in urban education leadership and policy from the Trojan Horse affair published in 2022”.
On receiving his Honorary Fellow Sajid Gulzar said “I am delighted to be joining the education leadership academy at the university of Birmingham, school of education as an Honorary fellow. It is humbling to have my work recognised in this way and I will endeavor to make a positive contribution to the school of education”.
