As the academic year draws to a close, I am delighted to address you all as, from September, the new Chair of the Trust Board, and share exciting news about our upcoming journey together. Furthermore, I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support, and to extend a warm welcome to our newly appointed CEO.
First and foremost, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to our incredible pupils/students, you are the heartbeat of our educational community. Your insatiable curiosity, boundless energy, and relentless pursuit of knowledge inspire us all. Throughout the year, you have shown incredible resilience, adaptability, and determination in the face of challenges. Your achievements, big and small, are a testament to your hard work, and we couldn't be prouder of each and every one of you!
To the local academy committee representatives, whose tireless dedication and commitment have paved the way for our Academy Trust's continued success. I want to assure you that your contributions have not gone unnoticed. The Board of Trustees and I recognise the valuable role you play in upholding the values and vision of the Trust. Your role as Representatives has not only ensured effective communication and coordination between different levels of governance but has also created a platform for diverse perspectives and ideas to be heard. Through your active involvement in decision-making processes, you have contributed to the continuous improvement and development of our Trust's policies and practices. Your commitment to excellence, integrity, and the pursuit of knowledge is an embodiment of the spirit that drives our Trust forward.
To the parents/carers, I want to extend my sincere thanks for your unwavering trust and partnership. Your active involvement, invaluable feedback, and continuous support have been the pillars of our collective achievement. Your engagement in your child's education has created a strong bond between home and school, enriching their learning experience and setting them up for future success.
I would also like to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to the remarkable staff members who have dedicated themselves to our pupils/students' growth and development throughout the academic year. Your passion, expertise, and unwavering commitment have made a profound impact on the lives of our pupils/students. You have inspired them to dream big, equipped them with knowledge and skills, and nurtured their unique talents. Your relentless efforts have laid the foundation for their bright futures, and I am truly grateful for your dedication and exceptional work.
In addition to expressing my gratitude, I am thrilled to announce that our Academy Trust will welcome a new CEO, who will assume their role in September. Phillipa Sherlock-Lewis is well known to many of you as the Trust’s serving Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Phillipa is an exceptional and passionate educationalist who brings with them a wealth of experience, a passion for our pupil’s/student’s education, and a deep commitment to our shared mission. I am confident that their leadership will invigorate our Academy Trust, driving us to new heights of excellence and innovation. Together, we will continue to provide an outstanding educational experience for our pupils/students, empowering them to thrive in an ever-changing world.
As we bid farewell to the current academic year, I encourage you all to take a well-deserved break, reflecting on the accomplishments we have achieved and the challenges we have overcome. Let this summer be a time for rejuvenation and renewal, as we prepare for the exciting possibilities that lie ahead. Our collective dedication and unwavering commitment will undoubtedly make the upcoming academic year a resounding success.
